Apple Watch trick
I've figured out how to get my Apple Watch to connect to my iPhone's Personal hotspot. This useful because wifi has a longer range than Bluetooth.
The reason the Apple Watch won't normally connect to the hotspot is because of the way the watch learns wifi networks. Normally you connect your iPhone to network then the phone sends the ssid and password to your watch which will remember it for later use. The dilemma is that the iPhone can't connect to its own hotspot so it would seem impossible for the watch to get the magic ssid and password of your iPhone's hotspot.
The simplest solution to this paradox is to create a personal hotspot using a different iPhone temporarily configured to have the same ssid and password as your iPhone's hotspot. When you connect your phone to the imposter hotspot, it will send the ssid and password to you watch and it will then be able to connect to your phone's hotspot.
